The board of trustees of the University of Pennsylvania has approved hundreds of millions of dollars for new construction projects across campus.
The project include $24.8 million for HVAC renovations in Kings Court, English, and Dubois College houses, $16.4 million for internal Vance Hall renovations, and $152.5 million in additional funds for the building of New College House West (NCHW), The Daily Pennsylvanian reports.
The NCHW will host 450 students and will be open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. All apartments will be suite-style, with sizes ranging from three-person to six-person suites. The project includes four faculty house dean apartments, a large multi-purpose room, a coffee bar, a wellness space, club and group study rooms, and a community kitchen.
