FC Construction Services joins $1.5B healthcare project in Philadelphia

FC Construction Services announced that it has joined the construction team of Penn Medicine Pavilion in Philadelphia..

Pavilion is a $1.5-billion hospital project that includes construction of a new clinical facility featuring 700 new beds and 50 operating and procedure rooms.

Penn Medicine touted Pavilion as Philadelphia’s most “ambitious health care building project.” The 17-story, 1.5 million sq. ft. facility is expected to be completed in 2021.

FC Construction will be responsible for the project’s manpower tracking, job creating, RFID badging, and construction workforce analytics reporting. The reporting systems will streamline real-time communication and decision-making for project managers and supervisors, the company said in a statement.

“The partnering and collaborative features of this project are the kind of forward-thinking we believe in at FC Construction Services. The idea that the success of each party relies on that of others creates a symbiotic ownership each step of the way. We are extremely excited to be part of the Penn Medicine Pavillion team,” said Mark Hinton, director and co-founder of FC Construction.
