Tobyhanna Township in Monroe County has unveiled plans for a $350 million-dollar destination.
The project, called Pocono Springs Village, will span around 175 acres in an area adjacent to Kalahari Hotel and Waterpark. The project is a joint venture between JEMB Realty and Alberta Development Partners.
The village will feature helium balloon rides, movie theaters, themed restaurants, live entertainment venues, bike and hiking trails, an aquarium, a 4.5-acre park, and hourly light and music shows at a venue named the Moment Factory.
Meanwhile, the village will offer more than 500,000 sq. ft. of leasable space for retailers and entertainment companies.
Construction of the first phase of Pocono Springs Village is expected to start in the summer of 2021, creating 2,000 construction jobs.
