The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) says three bridges will get overhauls soon.
The state Route 64 bridge that spans Little Fishing Creek near Lamar, the Milesburg Truss bridge on state Route 144 and the Atherton Street bridge that spans Interstate 99 are all due for upgrades.
The Lamar bridge, on the county’s structurally deficient bridge list, sees more than 4,600 vehicles crossing it every day, according to the Centre Daily Times. Crews will begin repairs on the 60-year-old bridge sometime next week with an early October finish date.
