Hersheypark has started construction on a $150-million project in Hershey.

The 23-acre expansion, known as Chocolatetown, will create a passageway between Chocolate World and Amusement Park.

The new area includes a restaurant, a confectionary kitchen, and an ice cream parlor. Hersheypark’s most historic ride, the carousel, will get a new home in Chocolatetown. There will be improved entrance gates, the Kisses Fountain, boutique shopping, and Hersheypark’s 15th roller coaster.

The 10,000-sq.-ft. shop will offer the largest collection of apparel, personalized souvenirs, toys, and more.

Chocolatetown is set to complete in the summer of 2020.
