Construction has started on a new train station in Pottstown, according to a report by Patch.
The station will connect the Colebrookdale Railroad with Memorial Park, as well as providing a gateway to Pottsgrove Manor, the Pottstown Carousel, and the Schuylkill River Trail.
The project, Pottstown Steel River Station, will serve as an event space for and Parks and Recreation classes and other happenings, as well as offering bike shares and kayak and canoe rentals.
Construction is expected to be completed by late fall 2019.
