NRP Group LLC is seeking permission from the Pittsburgh Zoning Board of Adjustment to build mixed-use development along the Allegheny Riverfront in the Strip District.

The developer wants to add 443 apartments in two buildings, featuring one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. It plans to ask the board for variances to begin the second phase of the Riverfront Landing development owned by Buncher Co., according to the Pittsburgh Business Times.

NRP is already building a 364-unit apartment complex behind the Pennsylvania Fruit Auction & Sales Building in the Strip District. Construction is planned to be completed on Edge 1909 by September.

The two buildings in the second phase will both be five stories tall. They will have a rooftop lounge with private dining, dog walk and pet care areas, and bike repair and storage areas, in addition to a 546-space parking garage.
